How the new build rating is calculated
Every new building on this site gets a score from 0 to 100 showing how comfortable it is to live there. The score is calculated from open data across 32 parameters, and takes into account everything nearby that affects everyday life.
Shops and everyday needs
- how close the nearest pharmacy is, including 24-hour ones
- how close the nearest grocery store or supermarket is, including 24-hour ones
- how close the nearest market is
- how close the nearest household goods store is
- how close the nearest post office or parcel pickup point is
- how close the nearest hardware store is
Cafes and food
- how close cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, fast food places and bakeries are
Transport
- how close the nearest public transport stop is
- how close the nearest metro station is
Leisure and nature
- how close cultural and leisure venues are
- how close a park is
- how close a forest or green area is
- how close a river or lake is
Terrain and surroundings
- how flat the area is (steep slopes lower the score)
- how densely the block is built up with old Soviet-era courtyards
- how comfortable it is to walk around — the state of sidewalks and pedestrian areas
- how quiet the nearby streets are, away from busy roads
- how well-rated the nearby venues are
- how far away industrial zones are
Utilities and air quality
- how often the electricity goes out
- how often the water goes out
- how clean the air is over the year, in summer and in winter
Openness
- how densely or loosely the surrounding area is built up
Price
The rating also takes price into account. The price per square meter of a new building is compared to other new buildings in the same district. A higher price, all else being equal, lowers the rating.
